The GMLRS is a self-propelled, armoured missile and rocket launcher, which can fire 12 rounds per minute to a distance of up to 180 miles. It is one of the Royal Artillery's most powerful weapons. The reservists, who only get to fire live MLRS very rarely, were doing so as part of their Annual Deployment Exercise, which sees them practice all of their basic soldier and specialist Ar...

Allied Exercise Siil 22: US, Estonian, Danish and British troops train together

Gambar
Video Source:  U.S. MILITARY CENTRAL The Estonian Defence Forces proved their skills against a simulated invading force during Allied Exercise Siil 22. Meaning “Hedgehog” in Estonian, Siil showed how the Estonian Defence Forces, much like the forest animal common to the Baltics, have unique defensive capabilities. The exercise, which takes place every three to four years, activates Estonia’s wide network of reserve, volunteer and conscript forces, and tasks them with responding to a breach of sovereignty. According to the Estonian Ministry of Defence, the 2022 iteration is one of the largest held since Estonia regained its independence in 1991. Infantry and armoured units assigned to NATO’s multinational battlegroup in Estonia – including troops from the Danish and UK armies – simulated an opposing force during the exercise, giving the Estonian troops a chance to test themselves against a modern, highly manoeuvrable foe.

Watch this video how the F-35C takes off and landing on an aircraft carrier

Gambar
Video Source:  U.S. MILITARY CENTRAL The F-35C variant is designed for catapult-assisted take-off but arrested recovery operations from aircraft carriers. Compared to the F-35A, the F-35C features larger wings with foldable wingtip sections, larger control surfaces for improved low-speed control, stronger landing gear for the stresses of carrier arrested landings, a twin-wheel nose gear, and a stronger tailhook for use with carrier arrestor cables. The larger wing area allows for decreased landing speed while increasing both range and payload. The F-35C structure is limited to a positive 7.5 g compared to 9 g for the F-35A and 7 g for the F-35B, though in practice they operate below these limits to preserve airframe life.

Ukrainian-Russian conflict: Four British Army AH1 Wildcat helicopters stationed in Lithuania

Gambar
Video Source:  U.S. MILITARY CENTRAL Four AH1 Wildcat helicopters with the British Army Air Corps No. 659 Squadron have been deployed to Lithuania in support of NATO’s multinational battlegroups in the Baltic states. Designed to serve as a utility, search-and-rescue and light attack helicopter, the Wildcat can fly low, move quickly and get into positions that other aircraft can’t access. This makes them a natural complement to the NATO battlegroups in the Baltic states, where their mobility helps troops manoeuvre around the dense forests. Since deploying in March, the Wildcats have joined several exercises, helping troops from the multinational battlegroups learn how to use the aircraft to their advantage. The Wildcats will fly missions out of Šiauliai Air Base until they redeploy in June.
