U.S. F-35As stealth fighter join NATO's Enhanced Air Policing mission near Russia's border

F-35As Lightning II fifth generation aircraft from the Vermont Air National Guard departed May 2 to Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, to continue NATO’s Enhanced Air Policing mission along the Eastern flank.
